The Old English Style This job was for a Mrs Cunningham. Her designer wanted something a little different whilst ensuring the finish was in keeping with the character and style of the building. We are seeing more and more of this " Old English" style returning to out order books. Here we have a perfect example of this, with the use of Rodger Oats carpet as a runner. Accompanied with our antique bronze stair rods with a minimal acorn detail gives a timeless elegance. Our specialist installer completed this job in just under a week. This kept to the clients deadline and most importantly exceeded all of the customers expectations.
The Antelope Pattern Carpet Here we have beautiful example of an old English home with a twist. This antelope pattern carpet was chosen for the stair case because of the striking pattern and it's pattern is the perfect size for a stair case. The stone stair case was very old and delicate and required ex stream care whilst working on it. Each step had been hand painted with a marble effect and each spindle was covered in gold leaf as well as the skirting board. So the utmost care was absolutely crucial. Here we used a thick felt underlay. This will ensure an extra long life accompanied with pure luxury.
Non-Slip Vinyl Here the client presented us with a particularly difficult situation. We needed to come up with a solution to a slippery problem. The customer had a underground swimming pool and a marble staircase leading to it. The marble stair case proved to be rather slippery when wet. We opted for a vinyl material with non-slip capabilities. We was able to fashion the material into a runner resembling a carpet runner. Stuck directly to the marble leaving the marble in tact for any future changes. Also leaving some of the beautiful marble on show, so as not to waste it's exotic qualities. This took just a few days and the customer was thrilled with the results just as we were.
The Custom Carpet made from Real Goat Skins If you are looking for pure unadulterated opulence... In this instance the customer had spotted a goat skin that he had become attached to and wanted to know if there was a similar product on the market as a carpet. It was actually the designer whom approached us. Much to the clients amazement we created a custom, one off, carpet using real goat skins and installed it into the en-suite and dressing room. As you can imagine, the customer was overjoyed with this. Once this goat skin carpet was paired with one of our prestigious opulent underlays it really delivered something far from the norm, the desired outcome. We used a luxurious underlay here to prolong the life span of this carpet, as well as maintaining a truly sumptuous underfoot fondle.
Exquisite Leopard Print Here we have a captivating specimen of a modern home. With a large glass spiral staircase running from the top floor down to the ground.. Before installing this exquisite leopard print carpet we had to ensure the level of the carpet met up with the level of the wood around the perimeter of the floor. To do this we built up the level of every landing of which there was five and every step of which there was fifty six by 6mm. Getting the levels to the correct height is of the utmost importance, not only for the desired finished effect but to ensure the longevity of the carpet. If say for example the carpet was built up too much this could cause over-wearing and possibly fraying. The client was ecstatic with the finished product.
